I am currently a tenure-track assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Texas at Dallas. I received my Ph.D. degree from George Mason University in 2023, advised by Dr. Kun Sun at the Center of Secure Information System. I got my B.E. degree from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2017. My current research interest is software security, with a focus on applying machine/deep learning for vulnerability detection, patch management, program analysis, and software supply chain security enhancement. I am also interested in AI security and systems security.

I am looking for self-motivated PhD students with full financial support. Experience on deep learning/LLM and/or software/systems security is preferred. If you are interested, please send your CV and transcripts to xinda dot wang at utdallas dot edu.
